| Abstract: | 本研究主旨在探討台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修現況、需求與困難。本研究以台中市72 家立案托嬰中心托育人員為研究對象,共發出216份問卷,回收195 份,有效問卷190 份,有效回收率88%。問卷調查所得資料,使用SPSS18 版統計套裝軟體,以描述性統計、卡方檢定、獨立樣本t 檢定進行分析。另外,本研究立意取樣3 位托嬰中心托育人員進行訪談,深入了解台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修之現況、需求與困難。最後,將資料結果分析與討論。本研究獲得以下結論:一、台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修現況(一)台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修方式依序為「個人進修」、「機構內進修」、「機構外進修」與「學位進修」。(二)台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修上課時間以「週末六日」為最多,其次為「週一至週五晚上」。(三)台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修費用,「學位進修」的費用以「自費」最多;「機構外進修」、「機構內進修」及「個人進修」的費用皆以「免費」最多。(四)台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修訊息獲得管道以「朋友告知」、「網II路資訊」及「主辦單位來函通知」為最多。(五)不同年齡、婚姻狀況、教學年資、機構規模之台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修現況達顯著差異。但學歷與目前擔任資格之台中市托嬰中心托育人員對在職進修現況未達顯著差異。二、台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修需求(一)台中市托嬰中心托育人員未來三年希望在職進修方式,依序為「個人進修」為最高,其次「機構外進修」、「機構內進修」與「學位進修」。(二)台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修上課需求以「週末六日」為最多。(三)台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修課程需求前三項為「急救訓練課程」、「嬰幼兒發展」與「托育安全及危機處理」。且托育人員期望新增課程,包括:嬰幼兒動作發展類型的「音樂遊戲」、「感覺統合」、「幼兒按摩」、「幼兒律動」、「幼兒手語」、「親子瑜珈」。三、台中市托嬰中心托育人員在職進修困難因素(一)依序為「進修時段不符合」、「進修研習費用負擔太高」、「進修地點遙遠」、「進修後無獎勵措施」、「沒有相關資訊提供」。(二)不同年齡、婚姻狀況、目前擔任資格及機構規模之台中市托嬰中心托育人員的在職進修困難因素達到顯著差異。III最後,根據本研究之結論,提出以下幾點之建議:一、政府單位應該投入資源,利用資訊科技,建置托育人員進修平台。二、教育機構應該規劃符合托育人員需求之進修課程。三、托嬰中心可以以機構為本位,多提供機構內進修活動,透過互助合作,托育人員彼此分享心得,交換經驗以解決照顧嬰幼兒上的問題。對未來研究之建議:一、研究方法而言,可以採取縱貫研究,以長時間觀察與分析研究,了解托嬰中心托育人員在職進修現況、需求與困難。二、擴大研究範圍,未來研究對象可擴及進行全國或其他地區調查,讓托嬰中心托育人員在職進修現況、需求與困難更能有全面性的了解,使研究結果更具有推論性。三、就研究主題而言,建議未來研究主題可以嘗試進行調查托嬰中心在職進修成效議題。關鍵字:托嬰中心、托育人員、在職進修現況、需求、困難 The Status, Needs, and Difficulties of In-service Education ofCaregivers in Taichung Infant Care CentersAbstractThis study aims to investigate the status, needs, and difficulties ofin-service education of caregivers in Taichung infant care centers. Researchparticipants were caregivers from 72 infant care centers in Taichung City. Thisstudy used questionnaires to collect data, 216 questionnaires were distributed, 5invalid and 190 valid questionnaires were returned, with 88% valid return rate.The resulting data were analyzed with SPSS18 statistical software, usingdescriptive statistics, Chi-square, independent-sample t tests, etc. In addition, 3caregivers in Taichung City infant care centers were interviewed to provide indepthinformation about the status, needs, and difficulties of in-service educationof caregivers in Taichung infant care centers. Finally, there were analyses anddiscussions about the research results.The results are described in the following:1. The status of in-service education of caregivers in Taichung infant carecenters.(1) The types of in-service education of caregivers in Taichung infant carecenters participated were personal education, inside organization education,outside organization education, and academic degree education sequentially.(2) The time of in-service education of caregivers in Taichung infant carecenters were weekends and weekday nights sequentially.V(3) The costs for in-service education of caregivers in Taichung infant carecenters for academic degree educations were mainly at one's own expense. Thecosts for other types of in-service education were mainly free.(4) Sources of in-serviced education were from friends, internet, and mails fromsponsor organizations.(5) There were significant differences of status of in-service education ofcaregivers in Taichung infant care centers in different age, status of marriage,seniority (working-years), organization characteristics. But, education levels andqualifications were not significantly related to status of in-service education ofcaregivers in Taichung infant care centers2. The needs of in-service education of caregivers in Taichung infant carecenters.(1) The expecting types of in-service education of caregivers in Taichung infantcare centers for the next 3 years were personal education, outside theorganization, inside the organization, and academic degree sequentially.(2) Weekend were ranked as the most wanted time for in-service education ofcaregivers in Taichung infant care centers.(3)“First-Aid Training for Emergency Accidents”, “Infant/Toddler development”,“Safety of child-care centers and Crisis Management” were ranked top threeneeded courses of in-service education by caregivers in Taichung infant carecenters. In addition, caregivers also were interested in diverse courses, such as“Music Games”, “Sensory Integration”, “Infant/Toddler Massage”, “ToddlerRhythmic Movement”, “Toddler Sign Language”, “Parent-child yoga”.3. The difficulties of in-service education of caregivers in Taichung infant carecenters.VI(1) Difficulties included time of in-service education not fitting into schedule,cost of in-service education, distance of in-service education, no incentive afterin-service education, no information about in-service education, etc.(2) Different age, status of marriage, serving with administrative duties andprogram size were significantly related to difficulties of caregivers in Taichunginfant care centers.Finally, this study provides the following suggestions:1. Government should invest more resources to provide diverse in-serviceeducation through new technology and media.2. The educational institutions should provide in-service education coursesmeeting the needs of caregivers.3. Infant care centers can provide program-based in-service education, throughcollaboration and exchange thoughts and experiences to solve problems ininfant/toddler care.Suggestions for future research:1. For research methods, future studies can conduct longitudinal research byobservation and analyses to understand the status, needs, and difficulties ofin-service education of caregivers.2. Expand the areas for research, the research participants can be randomlychosen from the whole country or other areas, to have more external validity.3.
